The membership of the Heathlake Community Association, Inc. consists of 312 single-family homes within Heathwood, Woods of Lakeside, and Lakeview Forest subdivisions. Residents who lease their houses may participate in all Association activities except voting. The Association is a non-profit corporation originally organized by the subdivision developers under guidelines set forth in the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, and Deed Restrictions. Homeowners have an irrevocable responsibility as referenced in one's property deed to support the Association through the annual maintenance assessment.
The primary function of the Association is the guardianship and maintenance of the community Clubhouse, tennis courts, swimming pool, and children's playground. There is also the upkeep of the common ground areas, esplanades, and cul-de-sacs. Additional expenses are incurred for security, utilities, insurance, trash removal, recycling, fee collection, legal fees, capital improvements and a management company which handles all the details with oversight by the Board.
A five member volunteer Board of Directors manages these activities. Each Director is elected for a two-year term. Three positions become available on even-numbered years,
and two positions are open on odd-numbered years. Elections are held each December
at the Annual meeting. Additional meetings are held throughout the year as deemed necessary.

NOTICE: Heathlake Board meetings will be held on the following months :
January, March, August, November, December on the last Wednesday of the
month and are open to residents from 6:00 - 6:30 pm.
Additional Board meetings will be held when necessary.
If you have an issue that you would like to discuss, please advise the Board
president at least 2 days prior to the meeting.
This will allow the time needed for the item to be placed on the Agenda.
Changes in the meeting dates will be posted here.

Buffalo Bayou flood control : In light of compelling issues regarding the presentation of certain concepts in the Charting Buffalo draft report, the Harris County Flood Control District is in the process of conducting surveys and modifying the report.
